Nexus Programme Officer – Humanitarian & Development

About the role

The Nexus Programme Officer will support CAFOD’s humanitarian, early recovery, protection, livelihoods and peacebuilding programmes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Working closely with the Deputy Country Representative and the MEAL team, the officer will lead programme development, implementation and monitoring in line with CAFOD’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage nexus programmes across humanitarian, development and peace sectors.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) activities and ensure quality and compliance.
• Develop proposals, donor reports and programme documentation.
• Coordinate with local partners, government authorities, donors and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning, advocacy and learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in humanitarian‑development‑peace nexus programming.
• Proven ability to work in insecure and rapidly changing environments.
• Fluency in English and French; knowledge of the DRC context and local languages is an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.

Required skills

• MEAL methodology and implementation.
