About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Nutrition Officer for a six‑month technical assistance assignment in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role supports the country’s response to the Ebola outbreak and broader nutrition challenges, focusing on children and vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

Plan, implement and monitor nutrition programmes aligned with national priorities.
Collect, analyse and manage nutrition data for evidence‑based decision‑making.
Provide coordination and technical support to government and partner stakeholders.
Build capacity of local staff and partners through training and mentorship.
Advocate for nutrition and infant‑young‑child‑feeding practices.
Manage partner compliance, supply logistics and community engagement activities.

Required profile

University degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field.
