About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to support its humanitarian project in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. The role works closely with the Finance Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets and ensure alignment with financial plans.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports.
- Perform accounting tasks in accordance with IRC policies.
- Operate the Intégra financial management system.
- Supervise the Financial Assistant and provide guidance on daily tasks.
Required profile
- Proven experience in finance, budgeting, and accounting within an NGO or humanitarian context.
- Ability to work collaboratively with finance and project teams.
- Strong supervisory skills to manage a financial assistant.
- Commitment to IRC’s mission of delivering humanitarian assistance.
