People and Culture Officer (NO-2) – Fixed Term – Kinshasa

About the role

The People and Culture Officer supports the Chief People and Culture in delivering HR services across the country office. This fixed‑term position in Kinshasa focuses on applying HR best practices, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide business partnering to unit heads, aligning HR strategies with operational needs.
• Implement strategic human resources initiatives and support day‑to‑day HR services.
• Deliver learning and capacity‑development programmes for staff.
• Conduct HR data analytics to inform decision‑making.
• Assist in the design and rollout of employee engagement and wellbeing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration, psychology, international relations or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant HR experience in an international organization or large corporation.
• Fluent French and intermediate English.
• Experience in innovation, change management, organizational culture, employee wellbeing or digital HR tools is an asset.
• Knowledge of an additional UN language or local language is desirable.
