Procurement Manager – Construction Materials (Kinshasa)

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead end‑to‑end sourcing, importation and delivery of construction materials and equipment for projects in Kinshasa. Reporting to the Head of Procurement and the Project Director, you will ensure that all items are procured on time, within budget and in compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse Bill of Quantities (BOQ) to develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers, securing competitive quotations and favourable terms.
• Manage import documentation, shipment tracking, customs clearance and coordination with freight forwarders.
• Optimize freight strategies (air/sea, FCL/LCL) and duty structures to minimise cost and lead time.
• Maintain a supplier database, monitor performance and manage contracts and Incoterms.
• Coordinate inventory to match BOQ requirements, preventing shortages or excess stock.
• Control procurement budgets, track costs against BOQ and identify savings opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and import regulations while collaborating with engineering, planning, finance and warehouse teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement or importation experience in the construction sector.
• B.Tech or B.E. degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or related field.
• Proven ability to manage complex supplier networks and international logistics.
