Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead the end‑to‑end sourcing and contracting process for operational goods and services supporting Mutanda Mining’s core activities. Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, the role focuses on strategic sourcing, tender management and supplier governance to ensure value, continuity and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with operational requirements.
• Manage RFQs, RFPs, tenders and commercial evaluations for all categories of goods and services.
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract award processes and ensure contracts contain appropriate KPIs and service levels.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, contract administration and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Provide procurement analytics, reporting and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement or supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or oil & gas is preferred.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, tendering, supplier negotiations and contract management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE or Pronto.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI for analytics and reporting.
• Strong commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities.
