Procurement Manager – Wildlife Conservation Society (Goma, DRC)

About the role

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to lead procurement, logistics and acquisition activities for its large program across three protected areas in Eastern DRC. The role supports all departments, ensuring timely and cost‑effective sourcing of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and organise the procurement department in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Develop, validate and maintain project‑specific procurement plans.
• Coordinate procurement activities across the country program, ensuring compliance with WCS policies.
• Establish reporting cycles with grant managers and monitor budget utilisation.
• Track local supply‑chain conditions, anticipate disruptions and propose alternative solutions.
• Manage communications with regional and international suppliers and oversee purchasing processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and logistics management, preferably within international NGOs or large‑scale programs.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain dynamics and ability to adapt to geopolitical changes.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop accurate procurement costing and support proposal development.
