Product Application Manager – Drilling

About the role

The Product Application Manager – Drilling will act as the technical authority for drilling solutions used in underground mining. Based in Kolwezi, DRC, you will bridge customer needs with sales and product development to drive innovation and improve equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice on drilling equipment selection, optimisation and application.
• Support sales teams and customers with customised technical solutions and tender support.
• Conduct on‑site evaluations, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in remote mining locations.
• Contribute to product development, continuous improvement initiatives and aftermarket growth.
• Deliver training sessions and develop technical documentation for customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mining, mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience with drilling equipment, preferably in underground mining.
• Demonstrated experience in African mining environments, especially the DRC, is advantageous.
• Strong customer‑facing communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Analytical, adaptable and able to work independently with extensive travel.
