Protection Officer – Case Management Team Leader

About the role

The Protection Officer (Case Management Team Leader) will lead and support the case management team in Kinshasa, ensuring high‑quality protection assistance for vulnerable migrants. Reporting to the Migrant Protection Officer and under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, the role combines technical guidance with programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and supervision to case management staff.
• Support the design, implementation and monitoring of protection programming.
• Ensure delivery of quality case management services for vulnerable migrants.
• Contribute to mainstreaming protection across all programme activities.
• Coordinate with senior protection officials, including the Senior Protection Coordinator and Chief of Mission.

Required profile

• Relevant higher education (e.g., Master’s degree) in migration, humanitarian assistance, social work or a related field.
• Professional experience in protection programming and case management for migrants or displaced persons.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior protection officers and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Strong understanding of protection principles and standards.
