PSEA Manager (P‑4) – 6‑month TA in Bunia, DRC

About the role

Under the supervision of the Prevention of and Response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Manager, the PSEA Officer will be based in Bunia and travel across Ituri, North Kivu and South Kivu. The role supports the PSEA component of the Ebola response plan, strengthening accountability systems and ensuring effective prevention and response to sexual exploitation and abuse.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to PSEA focal points, government counterparts and civil‑society partners.
• Collaborate closely with Child Protection and Social and Behaviour Change teams for victim assistance and community engagement.
• Represent UNICEF in PSEA coordination mechanisms in the field.
• Adapt interventions to the dual context of the Ebola epidemic and ongoing conflict.
• Contribute to the integration and sustainability of PSEA efforts in post‑outbreak recovery programmes.
• Support capacity building, risk mitigation, inter‑agency collaboration and reporting of SEA incidents.

Required profile

• Experience working in humanitarian settings, preferably with PSEA or child protection components.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within insecure and conflict‑affected areas.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to work with government authorities and multiple partners.
• Understanding of Ebola response dynamics and community‑sensitive approaches.
