Quality and Accountability Officer (National)

About the role

Church World Service Africa is implementing a five‑month cash‑based food assistance project in Kazumba Territory, DRC. The Quality and Accountability Officer will strengthen program quality, accountability, safeguarding and community feedback systems, ensuring compliance with humanitarian standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor quality assurance measures across the project.
• Collect, manage, analyse and report M&E data, coordinating tools and documentation with the Senior M&E Manager.
• Facilitate training on the Core Humanitarian Standard, Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and cash‑transfer guidelines.
• Oversee community complaints and feedback mechanisms, analysing trends and ensuring timely responses.
• Lead real‑time evaluations, after‑action reviews and learning processes, producing briefs and reports.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding and donor reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., International Development, Social Sciences, Public Health) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in humanitarian programmes, quality assurance, accountability or monitoring and evaluation.
• Knowledge of the Core Humanitarian Standard, PSEA and cash‑transfer best practices.
• Ability to travel regularly to remote villages and work in field conditions.
