Reconciliation Officer

About the role

Wave is building a cashless Africa and needs a meticulous Reconciliation Officer to ensure that bank balances match internal records. You will work from our Kinshasa office, handling daily reconciliations and supporting the finance team in a fast‑growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations, matching bank statements with internal balances.
• Review and process agent e‑float purchases and partner wallet funding transactions.
• Record daily and monthly bank fees and investigate any discrepancies.
• Assist the Reconciliation Manager with project implementation and ad‑hoc tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in bank or financial reconciliation.
• Strong proficiency in English and French.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
