Regional Sales Representative - Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa)

About the role

Haco Industries (Kenya) Limited, a leading FMCG manufacturer supplying the East African and COMESA markets, is looking for a seasoned professional to act as Regional Sales Representative for the Democratic Republic of Congo, based in Kinshasa. The role supports the company's growing Pan-African operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute market penetration and tactical execution strategies that drive sales and meet growth targets.
• Identify and engage key route-to-market stakeholders and set up and manage efficient sales processes in a start-up environment.
• Build strong relationships with distributors and retail partners to maximise coverage.
• Monitor stakeholders' commercial performance and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Eastern DRC team and share best practices.
• Provide commercial insights to senior leadership through the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• At least 8 years in FMCG sales, including experience in start-up operations.
• Proven track record of business growth in Kinshasa.
• Fluent in French and local languages, and fluent in spoken and written English.
• Strong commercial acumen, independence, negotiation and relationship-building skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced data analytics skills with Excel and BI tools.
