Sales & Marketing Manager – Kinshasa

About the role

The client, a leading tobacco manufacturing and distribution company, is looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to lead the function end‑to‑end in Kinshasa, DRC. This hands‑on leadership role requires taking full ownership of the department, driving commercial performance and building a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Sales & Marketing department and team end‑to‑end.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Set sales targets, monitor KPIs and drive overall commercial performance.
• Coach, develop and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
• Manage distribution channels, key customers and market coverage.
• Analyse market trends, competition and business opportunities.
• Develop initiatives to increase sales, market presence and customer penetration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant Sales & Marketing experience with proven team leadership.
• Previous professional experience in Africa (mandatory).
• Background in FMCG, consumer goods, tobacco or similar fast‑moving commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of African market, distribution channels and customer landscape.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in French and English is preferred.
