Retail Sales Manager

About the role

The Retail Sales Manager will lead the strategic direction, commercial performance, and operational excellence of all retail outlets and kiosks across the region. This position focuses on driving sustainable revenue growth, optimizing the retail footprint, and delivering a premium customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement regional retail sales strategies and commercial plans to meet revenue and subscriber acquisition targets.
• Analyze market trends and footfall data to identify opportunities for new store openings, kiosk relocations, or format optimisations.
• Manage the retail department budget, monitor operating expenses, and ensure a high return on investment for campaigns and store operations.
• Establish and monitor service level agreements for customer service and implement Voice of the Customer feedback loops to improve NPS.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for inventory management, cash handling, KYC compliance, and CRM/Afrivendas platform usage.
• Collaborate with Marketing to deploy trade marketing materials, campaigns, and product launches across the retail network.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate Retail Team Leaders and Supervisors, overseeing their professional development.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead retail teams and achieve aggressive sales targets.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L and budget management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
