Private Sector Engagement Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Private Sector Engagement Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role focuses on fostering private‑sector participation, business development, innovation, and investment across African and European space ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement strategies to increase private‑sector involvement in space, geospatial and technology projects.
• Conduct market and value‑chain analyses to identify commercial opportunities.
• Facilitate matchmaking between companies, entrepreneurs, investors and research institutions.
• Support business development activities, including commercialization pathways and access to finance.
• Provide policy and institutional advice to strengthen sustainable space ecosystems in Africa and the EU.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in private‑sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development or investment facilitation.
• At least 4 years of experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, with proven skills in market analysis, matchmaking and commercialisation.
• Experience in the space, geospatial or technology sector, particularly within Africa, is highly relevant.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
