Risk and Compliance Specialist (P-3) – Kinshasa

About the role

Under the supervision of the Risk and Compliance Manager, you will strengthen risk assurance and compliance efforts for UNICEF’s large‑scale country office in Kinshasa. You will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of risk management practices across processes, systems and entities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide risk management support, including monitoring and reporting on risk exposure.
• Deliver compliance support to ensure adherence to organizational rules, regulations and ethical standards.
• Assist with fraud risk management and internal control assessments.
• Offer oversight and advisory services to senior management.
• Create awareness and build capacity on risk and compliance topics.
• Coordinate any required support from the regional office.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Business Administration, Financial Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, Risk Management, Audit, Investigation, Internal Control or Statistics.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in risk and compliance, with several years in internal audit.
• Experience designing and implementing financial control systems, enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks, and internal audit processes, preferably with international organisations, NGOs or the UN.
