Road Manager – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Egis is hiring an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Road Manager for the KMTR concession, a cross-border transport corridor linking the DRC Copperbelt with Zambia. The manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of the concession assets, including the toll road, border posts and associated infrastructure. The role also supports the General Manager's decisions and ensures compliance with shareholder requirements, regulations and corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient daily operation of the concession, monitor performance and service quality, and develop operational procedures and standards.
• Develop and run preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, optimise asset lifecycle and availability, and manage maintenance contractors and technical service providers.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, promote a strong safety culture, and manage operational budgets and maintenance costs.
• Monitor operational KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and lead, coach and develop the O&M teams in Zambia and the DRC, including succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure operations and maintenance.
• Proven experience managing highways, transport infrastructure, mining infrastructure or industrial assets.
• Experience in Central Africa, preferably in the DRC and/or Zambia.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
