Senior Financial Controller

About the role

The Senior Financial Controller will join an international company operating across Central and Western Africa and Asia. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role focuses on strengthening control, reporting and analysis practices while supporting the CFO in strategic financial tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise month‑end closings and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Prepare periodic reports for headquarters and monitor production costs.
• Develop and track cross‑departmental reports and analyses.
• Manage cash forecasting, financing needs and overall cash management.
• Oversee fixed assets, inventory, and accounts receivable/payable.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and conduct variance analysis.
• Supervise payroll processes.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
• Implement and improve management procedures.
• Handle tax file management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Applied Economics, Management, Finance or equivalent.
• 5‑6 years of experience in management control, audit or consulting.
• Proven experience working abroad in Africa; remote‑location experience is a plus.
• Ability to work under the client’s expatriate program.
• Fluency in English; French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good understanding of accounting software.
• Experience with ERP systems.
