Senior Internal Auditor IT

About the role

FINCA DRC is seeking a motivated Senior Internal Auditor IT to join its Internal Audit Team in Kinshasa. The role focuses on testing, evaluating, and improving risk management, control, and governance processes related to information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead IS audit engagements, planning, managing and executing them in a risk‑based environment.
• Mentor junior team members, providing on‑the‑job training and performance feedback.
• Deliver audit projects on time and within budget while identifying and addressing risks.
• Prepare audit reports, follow up on recommendations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Required profile

• MSc in IT, finance, economics, banking, mathematics or quantitative sciences.
• Experience in IT consulting, system integration or software house with a focus on risk or finance in banking, or similar experience in a micro‑finance or bank risk/finance department.
• Knowledge of credit risk management, financial reporting, or financial instrument valuation is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• SQL / relational database knowledge.
• Working knowledge of commercial risk‑management solutions.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent certification.
