Senior International Accountant, Global Accounting Operations

About the role

PATH is a global nonprofit focused on health equity, seeking a Senior International Accountant to join its Global Accounting Operations. The role supports country offices across more than 20 nations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, donor policies, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality control reviews of financial reports and transactions from country offices.
• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare adjustments, accruals, journal entries and schedules.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, bank statements and accounting software hygiene.
• Provide guidance on accounting policies, internal controls and conduct training for field staff.
• Support internal and external audits, including audit preparation and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA or ACCA qualification.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Experience with global ERP systems and multi‑currency environments is a plus.
