Senior Manager – Strategic HR Business Partner

About the role

The Senior Manager – Strategic HR Business Partner acts as the primary link between Human Resources and the operational business of Kamoto Copper Company. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the role drives people strategies that support safety, productivity, cost discipline and overall organisational performance across the mine.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with General Managers, Heads of Department and operational leaders to translate business priorities into actionable HR plans.
• Maintain a visible presence on‑site, understand workforce realities, anticipate people risks and provide timely HR input in leadership forums.
• Lead workforce planning, linking manpower needs to mine production targets, budgets and capability requirements.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end HR support, linking operational leaders with specialist HR services such as payroll, employee relations and case management.
• Challenge and support leaders on people decisions to ensure commercial soundness, operational practicality and compliance with legislation and collective agreements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HR business partnering within a mining or heavy‑industry environment.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive HR initiatives at operational sites.
• Strong analytical mindset with capability to translate data into workforce strategies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
