Senior Manager - UG Expansion

About the role

Kamoto Copper Company (KCC SA) is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the underground (UG) expansion program at its Kolwezi operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Reporting to the Lead – Underground Expansion Execution, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and steering the entire underground development to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day planning, coordination and monitoring of underground development activities, including access structures, mining infrastructure and related works.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams—engineering, geology, mine planning, ventilation, geotechnical, hydrogeology, and mining operations—as well as EPCM partners and contractors.
• Oversee performance of contracting companies, manage KPIs, control costs, and ensure compliance with contractual and security requirements.
• Develop detailed project execution plans, schedule critical activities, manage construction sequences and monitor risks affecting schedule, cost or quality.
• Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) standards throughout the project.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale underground mining expansion projects.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills across engineering, geological and operational disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets and schedules in a complex mining environment.
• Commitment to HSEC compliance and sustainable mining practices.
