Senior Manager - Underground Expansion

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead the underground expansion program for Kamoto Copper Company, ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable delivery of development works. Reporting to the Lead – Underground Expansion Execution, the incumbent will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, EPCM partners and contractors to prepare the mine for underground production.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor day‑to‑day underground development activities, including access structures, mining infrastructure and related works.
• Lead multidisciplinary collaboration across engineering, geology, mine planning, ventilation, geotechnical, hydrogeology and operations.
• Manage contracting companies, monitor performance, control costs, meet KPIs and ensure security compliance.
• Transform approved studies into detailed execution plans, schedules and risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Promote and enforce Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) standards, conduct field inspections and drive a proactive safety culture.
• Provide technical leadership for underground works such as declines, supports, ventilation, drainage and geotechnical controls.
• Oversee budget management, cost control and financial reporting for the expansion program.

Required profile

• Proven experience in underground mine development and expansion projects.
• Strong project management and coordination skills across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Experience managing EPCM partners, contractors and large‑scale budgets.
• Solid knowledge of HSEC standards and ability to enforce safety practices.
