Senior Programme Officer (GAM) – Fixed Term

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Senior Programme Officer (GAM) to lead funding acquisition and grant management across the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role supports both humanitarian and development programmes, helping the organization reach millions of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Write and submit bilateral, multilateral, corporate and World Vision proposals in collaboration with technical programme managers, operations staff and support services.
• Design multi‑sector programmes using cash/voucher, in‑kind goods and technical support modalities where appropriate.
• Support project teams with editing and preparing donor reports to meet field‑level expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned donor offices and maintain strong donor relationships.
• Work with operational teams to respond to donor requests, secure funding and position projects for financing.
• Represent World Vision to donors, clusters and other stakeholders to mobilise resources for humanitarian needs.
• Assist Finance in tracking response funding and ensuring strategic priorities are funded effectively.
• Provide regular situation reports and input into the donor reporting tracking system.
• Manage grants for designated projects, ensuring timely implementation and compliance with donor requirements.
• Support People & Culture in developing staff capacity on programming and grant management.

Required profile

• Fluent in both French and English.
• Proven experience in grant management, proposal development and donor relations within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the DRC.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Capacity to design multi‑modality programmes and work across cross‑functional teams.
