Senior Programme Officer – Grant Acquisition & Management

About the role

The Senior Programme Officer (SPO) will lead grant acquisition and management for World Vision in the Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting both humanitarian and development programmes. Working across fragile and stable contexts, the SPO will help expand the organisation’s impact on over 5 million children by 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Write and submit high‑quality proposals (bilateral, multilateral, corporate, and internal) in collaboration with technical and operations teams.
• Support project teams with editing, preparing, and submitting donor reports.
• Serve as the primary liaison for donors and the assigned support office.
• Represent World Vision to donors, clusters, and key stakeholders to secure funding.
• Track response funding with Finance and ensure strategic priorities are met.
• Maintain and update the donor reporting tracking system.
• Provide grant management for designated projects, ensuring timely implementation and compliance.
• Assist People & Culture in developing staff care and capacity‑building plans related to programming.

Required profile

• Proven ability to produce compelling project proposals that grow the funding portfolio.
• Strong donor relationship management experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently across project sites.
• Fluent in both French and English (mandatory).
• Capacity to design multi‑sector programmes using cash, voucher, GIK, or technical support modalities.
