Senior Superintendent II, Payroll Governance & Operations

About the role

The Senior Superintendent II, Payroll Governance & Operations leads payroll governance, compliance and continuous improvement for Kamoa Copper SA, Kamoa Energy and the Centre of Excellence. The role ensures payroll, taxation and statutory obligations are processed accurately, on time and in full compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor payroll governance frameworks and controls.
• Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll, tax filings and statutory reporting.
• Maintain the integrity of payroll systems, data quality and reporting outputs.
• Provide expert guidance on remuneration, payroll taxation, labour‑law compliance and payroll controls.
• Act as the final governance checkpoint to mitigate financial, regulatory, fraud and reputational risks.
• Collaborate with unions, auditors, banks and DRC government authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and data‑analytics initiatives within payroll operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Commerce, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification in Accounting, Payroll, Tax or Finance.
• 10‑12 years of experience managing large‑scale, automated payroll operations and teams.
• Proven experience engaging with unions, auditors, banks and government authorities.
• Mining industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Fluent business English; French and Swahili highly advantageous.
