Senior Technical Advisor – Underground Mine Production

About the role

The Senior Technical Advisor – Underground Mine Production will support safe, efficient and compliant underground mining operations at Kamoto Copper Company. Reporting to senior management, the advisor will drive best‑practice mining systems, operational excellence and capability building for front‑line leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, hazard identification and enforcement of HSEC policies.
• Ensure operational discipline by applying underground mining best practices, procedures and safe work systems consistently.
• Support planning and execution of mining activities to meet production, quality and cost targets.
• Coach and mentor supervisors and operational teams to improve performance and develop technical competence.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align production plans with corporate objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in underground mining production, preferably in copper or cobalt operations.
• Proven track record of leading safety initiatives and enforcing compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
