Shop Operations Manager

About the role

The Shop Operations Manager will lead a cluster of pharmacy outlets, ensuring operational excellence, high customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and strong sales performance. This role combines day‑to‑day shop management, team coordination, inventory oversight, and commercial strategy to meet business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end operations across assigned pharmacy outlets, ensuring adherence to SOPs, hygiene standards, merchandising, and opening/closing schedules.
• Drive sales performance and revenue growth by monitoring trends, implementing action plans, and supporting promotional and local marketing initiatives.
• Manage inventory planning, stock availability, replenishment, and conduct regular audits to control ageing, expiries, breakages, and pilferage.
• Supervise shop staff, pharmacists, delivery personnel and support teams, handling staffing, roster planning, discipline, and onboarding.
• Engage with B2C and B2B customers to gather feedback, resolve escalations, and maintain high service standards.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as supply chain, finance, and commercial teams for seamless operations.
• Maintain operational MIS, report performance metrics, and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (mandatory); additional qualifications in Life Sciences or Pharmacy (e.g., B.Sc., D.Pharm, B.Pharm) preferred.
• 8‑10 years of experience in wholesale or retail within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG, or consumer retail.
• Proven experience managing multiple outlets, stores, or branches.
