Social & Behaviour Change Officer (RCCE) – 6‑month contract in DRC

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Social & Behaviour Change Officer to support the Ebola response in the provinces of Ituri, North Kivu and South Kivu. Working under the RCCE/Social and Behaviour Change Specialist, you will help design, implement, monitor and report evidence‑based risk communication and community engagement interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and analyse evidence on community perceptions and behaviours.
• Monitor and document community feedback mechanisms.
• Plan and coordinate field activities across Butembo, Beni and Bunia.
• Support partnerships, resource allocation and operational logistics.
• Deliver capacity‑building sessions for local partners and staff.

Required profile

• University degree in social and behavioural science, sociology, anthropology, communication for development, psychology, public health or a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in community engagement, risk communication or behaviour change.
