Specialised Mechanical & Fitting Artisan – Concentrator Division

About the role

The Specialised Artisan, Mechanical and Fitting will lead a small team of artisans and assistants to deliver both scheduled and emergency maintenance on the concentrator plant. The role ensures continuous mining operations by maintaining equipment in flotation, decantation, dewatering, filtration, bagging and air plant (compressors and blowers) processes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute maintenance activities according to the Concentrator Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.
• Supervise and mentor a team of artisans and assistants during routine and breakdown repairs.
• Maintain critical plant equipment including crushers, mills, HPGR, flotation cells, thickeners, filters and air compressors.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to minimise downtime and support cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Report maintenance outcomes, safety observations and cost data to senior management.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting.
• 10+ years of mechanical fitting experience in heavy industrial or mining environments.
• Proficiency in business English; French or Swahili is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely, solve problems and follow detailed instructions.
