Superintendent II – Mining Training (3 openings)

About the role

The Superintendent II, Mining Training will lead the design, delivery and management of critical training programmes for underground and mechanised mining operations at Kamoa Copper Mine. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all training aligns with the mine’s transformation strategy and operational skill requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and coordinate comprehensive mining training programmes for underground and surface teams.
• Oversee training schedules, induction sessions, safety‑rep, miner, supervisor and foreman courses.
• Manage a team of trainers and ensure best‑practice delivery and evaluation of all programmes.
• Coordinate surface mock‑ups and support external training vendors.
• Assist in evolving the mine’s training strategy during the expansion phase.

Required profile

• Mining degree or diploma with a Train‑the‑Trainer certification.
• Mine Overseer Certificate of Competence and Blasting certificate.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanised and underground hard‑rock mining.
• At least 3 years as a Mine Overseer and 3 + years in training and development within an underground mining environment.
• Fluent business English; French or Swahili is a strong advantage.
