Supply & Logistics Specialist, P-3, TA (6 Months)

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Specialist will support UNICEF’s emergency response in the Democratic Republic of Congo, ensuring that essential goods and services reach vulnerable children and communities. Reporting to the Chief, Supply and Logistics Manager, the role focuses on managing the supply chain for a small country office and specific emergency components.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, procure, and contract goods and services required for the emergency response.
• Coordinate customs clearance, warehousing, in‑country transportation, and distribution of supplies.
• Monitor the flow of supplies, services, and construction works to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government bodies, national systems, and implementing partners on supply chain management.
• Collaborate with programme teams to design and implement supply interventions that meet programmatic needs.

Required profile

• Experience in managing supply chains for humanitarian or development operations.
• Ability to work in a complex, insecure environment with cultural sensitivity.
• Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
