Technical Director, DRC Sanitation Activity

About the role

PSI is seeking a Technical Director to lead the USAID‑funded DRC Rural and Peri‑Urban Sanitation Activity. Based in Goma, the role will guide a multi‑component program that strengthens sanitation markets and expands access to basic sanitation services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a unified technical approach across governance, demand creation, finance, and supply‑side interventions.
• Supervise technical component leads and ensure alignment of work plans, reports, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with the monitoring and evaluation team to design data collection and analysis processes and drive the technical learning agenda.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with donors, government agencies, and implementing partners.
• Represent the project at internal and external meetings, conferences, and donor briefings.
• Strengthen the technical capacity of PSI staff and local partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in senior technical leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale sanitation or public‑health programs in low‑resource settings.
