Technical Services Optimization Manager – Underground Mining

About the role

The Technical Services Optimization Manager leads short‑term mine planning and all technical services for safe, efficient underground mining at Kamoa Copper Mine. The role aligns daily plans with long‑term strategies while adapting to changing orebody, geotechnical, ventilation and water management conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate short‑term mine planning with LOM and medium‑term plans.
• Provide technical governance, reconciliation and real‑time decision‑making.
• Optimize production efficiency, minimise dilution and operational risk.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams covering survey, geotechnics, ventilation and water control.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• 12–15 years of underground mining experience in high‑production, mechanised environments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Fluent business English; French or Swahili advantageous.
