Temple Facilities Assistant II

About the role

This professional position ensures temple ordinances are maintained in a pure condition and provides a positive, uplifting environment for members. The role supports the operation and maintenance of temple facilities up to 40,000 sq ft, adhering to standards set by senior church leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and report facility‑operation, safety, and maintenance issues to the Temple Facilities Manager.
• Execute compliance and safety measures under the manager’s direction.
• Provide customer service by handling inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, water‑treatment, laundry, electrical, and audiovisual systems.
• Maintain and adjust baptismal font filtration, water‑purification, and pH control systems.
• Supervise physical‑plant operations in the manager’s absence, including shift rotation and system learning.

Required profile

• Must hold a current temple recommend.
• Completion of at least two years of technical training in a skilled trade.
• Minimum four years of experience in that trade plus two years in physical‑plant operations.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, construction, blueprint reading, mechanics, and floor coverings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work rotating shifts.
