Temple Security Supervisor

About the role

The Temple Security Supervisor ensures that temple ordinances are performed in a pure and secure environment, providing a positive experience for all patrons. This role oversees the protection of both sacred and temporal assets of the temple, coordinating security personnel and electronic systems to maintain safety and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and schedule all security personnel to guarantee proper coverage.
• Maintain and monitor electronic alarm and surveillance equipment, including installation, calibration, and upkeep.
• Conduct building and grounds inspections for safety hazards and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain incident logs, prepare reports, and communicate security matters to the Temple Facilities Manager.
• Develop procedures to reduce theft, vandalism, intrusion, and liability risks.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and fire officials, establishing clear emergency communication protocols.
• Perform special investigations and assist with safety inspections as needed.

Required profile

• Possession of a valid Temple Recommend.
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of law‑enforcement experience (or five years combined with related experience).
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
