Territory Manager – Eastern Congo Initiative

About the role

ECI is seeking a Territory Manager to lead the Asili enterprise in Bukavu, delivering services to customers and expanding the platform across the Democratic Republic of Congo. The role blends strategic planning, people leadership, financial oversight and partnership development to generate lasting social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a five‑year vision and annual goals for Asili, ensuring technical feasibility, financial viability and customer desirability.
• Recruit, retain and develop a high‑performing team, fostering ECI’s core values of clarity, consistency and community.
• Hold full P/L accountability, lead budgeting cycles and monitor financial sustainability of both earned‑income and grant‑based streams.
• Drive fundraising and manage relationships with donors, USAID, faith‑based partners, Congolese authorities and other stakeholders.
• Oversee operations, guide line managers, and ensure service impact is measurable, scalable and lasting.

Required profile

• At least 5 years managing internationally based enterprises or programs, preferably USG‑funded or social‑impact investments.
• Professional fluency in French and English; Swahili is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead large, matrixed teams and work with global support functions.
• Strong problem‑solving, forward‑thinking and flexible mindset, with a track record of delivering results under pressure.
