Airport Manager (Lubumbashi)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to lead operations at its Lubumbashi hub. You will be responsible for overseeing all passenger and aircraft handling activities, ensuring safety, security, and service standards are met while driving performance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise passenger and aircraft handling on a shift basis, adhering to checklists, brand standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring.
• Coordinate VIP, MAAS, PRM, and special guest requirements, including flight editing and special services.
• Develop, rehearse, and execute emergency response, disruption, diversion, and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, report delays, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive ancillary sales, promotional activities, and compliance with related processes.
• Ensure customer service standards are met and report on associated KPIs.
• Act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience in airport or aviation operations.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in high‑pressure, shift‑based environments.
• Strong communication skills across internal and external channels.
• Previous regional or international exposure is advantageous.
