Head of Technical & Logistics – DRC

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to oversee all technical and logistics operations for our energy hubs across the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The role combines hands‑on engineering work with strategic logistics planning and requires frequent travel to remote sites.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and maintain MOPO energy hub components nationwide.
• Develop and execute both international and domestic logistics plans, coordinating with clearing agents and government bodies.
• Negotiate with community leaders, chiefs, and officials to secure favourable terms for installations.
• Lead, train and retain installation engineers and support teams.
• Analyse operational data to drive performance improvements.
• Maintain inventory of all equipment, tools and materials.
• Collaborate with Mobile Power teams in the UK, Nigeria and Sierra Leone to share best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years in a leadership role.
• At least 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on solar systems.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and French.
• Ability to work flexibly in the field, often on short notice.
