Human Resources Officer (P) – Expedited Recruitment

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Human Resources Officer (P) through an expedited recruitment process. The officer will support the Country Office (CO) and its sub‑offices in delivering HR services that align with IOM’s policies, regulations, and the specific needs of migration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Resource Management Officer (SRMO) and Head of Resource Management in reviewing and monitoring HR services in the CO.
• Supervise the maintenance of personnel files and attendance records for international, national, and subcontracted staff.
• Maintain the CO’s HR and training database and coordinate mandatory security briefings and trainings.
• Monitor contractual status, entitlements, and payroll preparation for national staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with HQ, MAC, and the Finance Team on benefits for international staff, including danger pay, health insurance, educational grants, home leave, and rental subsidies.
• Oversee visa and residence permit renewals for international staff and support third‑party consultancy contracts.

Required profile

• Familiarity with IOM’s HR rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in managing personnel files, attendance records, and HR databases.
• Ability to coordinate payroll processes and verify payroll data.
• Knowledge of staff benefits administration and visa/residence permit processes.
• Strong collaboration skills with headquarters, finance, and security units.
