IT Officer (6‑month contract)

About the role

BURN is seeking an IT Officer to manage and support its information technology infrastructure for a six‑month fixed‑term assignment. The role involves maintaining hardware and software, ensuring network security, and providing technical assistance to staff while implementing IT policies.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Active Directory – create and modify user, group, computer accounts and OUs.
• Manage Office 365 services including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange and PowerApps.
• Support new computer projects, hardware installations and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, software and system issues to maintain 99.9% uptime.
• Maintain IT inventory, log maintenance activities and generate regular support reports.
• Configure peripherals, set up printers/routers and provide daily user support.
• Monitor firewalls and security measures, and conduct end‑user training on IT platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an IT Officer or similar role.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and French.
