M-Pesa Senior Accountant - Treasury Reporting

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead treasury reporting for M-Pesa, overseeing e‑money settlement activities, partner funding, and wallet‑to‑bank operations. This role ensures smooth transactional flow, accurate documentation, and timely resolution of settlement issues.

Key responsibilities

• Process e‑money settlements and partner funding transactions.
• Monitor settlement queues and manage operational liquidity.
• Support wallet‑to‑bank and bank‑to‑wallet operations.
• Maintain accurate settlement documentation and obtain required approvals.
• Escalate settlement failures and delays to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain settlement logs and enforce operational controls.
• Contribute to automation initiatives for settlement processing.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Banking, or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in payment operations or treasury operations.
