Operational Performance & Business Analysis and Planning Manager

About the role

The Business Analysis and Planning (BAP) Manager reports to the General Manager Finance and leads the financial planning, management accounting and costing functions for Kamoto Copper Company. The role focuses on delivering accurate budgets, forecasts and performance analyses while building capability within the national BAP team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Life of Asset (LoA) planning, annual operating and capital budgets, and monthly forecast updates, submitting results in group reporting templates.
• Support development of long‑term strategies using Enterprise Performance Management tools such as Anaplan and Oracle.
• Conduct variance analysis, provide insights, and present recommendations for cost control and operational improvement.
• Facilitate cost‑review meetings for mining, processing and G&A functions, explaining operational drivers of variances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports and ensure they are simple, accurate and entrepreneurial.
• Develop cost allocation processes for shared consumables (fuel, reagents, power) and analyse processing circuit economics.
• Evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities and assist with business case development.
• Lead the development of BAP team members through training plans, individual development goals and performance monitoring.
• Monitor UKCR Sox controls within BAP, support environmental compliance in budgeting and promote sustainability awareness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial planning, management accounting and cost analysis within an industrial or mining environment.
• Strong business partnering abilities and experience leading cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
