Programme Associate (G-6) – Fixed Term – Kinshasa

About the role

The Programme Associate (G-6) provides specialised programme and administrative support to UNICEF’s initiatives in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Working under the Chiefs of Sections (Social Policy, Health, Child Protection), the incumbent ensures effective planning, implementation and monitoring of programmes while maintaining compliance with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Project management and coordination of implementing partnerships.
• Data management, analysis and reporting for programme performance.
• Grant management, budget monitoring and financial reporting.
• Support digital innovation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Facilitate communication, knowledge sharing and dissemination of results.
• Capacity building, event coordination and surge support as needed.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary education; a relevant bachelor’s degree may replace three years of experience, a master’s degree may replace an additional two years.
• Minimum six years of clerical or programme support experience.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of another UN language (English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
• Experience in country‑level development programmes is desirable.
