Project Director

About the role

The Project Director is a newly created Group‑level position responsible for leading Gocongo’s full project development and execution cycle, from concept through commissioning and operational handover. Reporting to Executive Management, the role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial judgment, and executive decision‑making, driving the Group’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conceive and assess new capital projects aligned with the Group’s expansion strategy across verticals and geographies.
• Lead pre‑feasibility studies, develop investment cases, and define project scope, technical parameters, and business case frameworks.
• Oversee feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and negotiate technical and commercial terms with EPC contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
• Develop detailed execution plans, supervise construction and installation activities across multiple sites, and lead commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Ensure smooth operational handover with complete documentation, training, and Digital Twin delivery.
• Act as the primary interface with internal stakeholders and external partners, managing contractor performance, change orders, claims, and schedule adherence.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in leading large‑scale engineering, construction, or processing plant projects.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate across country operations, finance, and legal functions.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering projects within budget and schedule.
• Advanced decision‑making authority and capability to interact with senior executives and regulatory authorities.
