Project Manager – Civil Society Engagement (Goma/Bukavu)

About the role

Search for Common Ground is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of its 36‑month programme aimed at strengthening civil‑society organisations in eastern DRC. Based in Goma or Bukavu, the role will coordinate activities across several provinces, ensuring the project’s vision of inclusive governance and youth‑led peacebuilding is achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee work plans, timelines and budgets for the programme.
• Supervise and guide the Program Implementation team through all project phases, from start‑up to close‑out.
• Coordinate with multiple partners, donors and local stakeholders in North Kivu, South Kivu, Tanganyika and Kinshasa.
• Ensure compliance with Search and donor policies, including financial reporting and staffing management.
• Monitor progress, produce regular reports and adjust activities to meet objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing development projects in the DRC or similar contexts.
• Strong coordination, communication and budget management abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse partners across several provinces.
• Technical understanding of local and inclusive governance and civil‑society engagement.
