VMO Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The VMO Buyer is responsible for managing all purchasing activities within the assigned area, ensuring that goods and services are obtained at the best value while complying with contractual and budgetary requirements. This position supports requesters by providing technical procurement expertise and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Source quotations, evaluate bids, and award work to approved vendors following established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, budget limits, and approval thresholds during procurement decisions.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management to verify work completion and quality before processing payments.
• Process vendor invoices and resolve payment discrepancies in the system.
• Maintain effective communication with vendors, addressing operational or payment‑related concerns.
• Support vendor lifecycle management to guarantee timely service delivery and financial accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related business field.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or KISM are advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience applying effective purchasing principles.
• Ability to communicate in French; English proficiency is a plus.
