Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will lead the design, implementation and monitoring of security measures for BNP Paribas' information systems. This senior role ensures that data access, modification, destruction and disclosure are tightly controlled and aligned with the BNPP PF IT Charter and the POD/POE operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive IT security coverage across information security, systems security and business continuity.
• Drive deployment of security policies, processes and manage security incidents.
• Identify security risks, develop mitigation plans and ensure follow‑up.
• Monitor the health of the security ecosystem, respond to alerts and manage incidents.
• Develop and enhance the organisation’s security posture and maturity.
• Produce regular reporting on security coverage and performance.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, addressing findings and recommendations.
• Advise internal stakeholders, deliver training and raise security awareness.
• Stay current with market and BNP Paribas best practices to support strategic objectives.
• Ensure alignment with BNP Paribas Personal Finance and Group security requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification.
• At least ten years of experience in an IT environment.
• Proven experience in IT risk and security management.
• Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous.
• Strong business acumen, risk awareness and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management abilities.
