Country Director – Democratic Republic of the Congo

About the role

World Relief is seeking a compassionate and visionary leader to serve as Country Director for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In this senior position you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the country program, ensuring high‑impact humanitarian and development response aligned with the organization’s Christian values.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a revised country strategy that reflects World Relief’s mission, vision, and values.
• Oversee all programmatic activities, financial management, donor relations, and security of staff.
• Supervise and mentor staff, including performance management, goal setting, and HR processes.
• Lead fundraising and partnership efforts with donors, government agencies, and local churches.
• Represent World Relief in external forums, advocating for vulnerable populations.
